UNIVERSITY MAIL SERVICES

OVERVIEW

University Mail Services serves as the processing and distribution hub for the University's mail system. The Department has two components: Distribution Operations and Student Post Offices. While both components provide services for University faculty, staff and students, the operating characteristics of each are quite different.

DISTRIBUTION OPERATIONS

Distributions Operations is the "hardcopy" distribution network for the New Brunswick Campuses, providing two daily deliveries and pick-up of campus and USPS mail, as well as the central site for connecting our distribution network with those operating at the Camden and Newark Campuses. Futher, this group serves as our link with the US Postal Service (USPS), processing outgoing domestic and international mail.

STUDENT POST OFFICES

Student Post Offices are located on each New Brunswick Campus. These shops offer services available at most US Post Offices -- sales of stamps, money orders and special-service items (express, certified, registered and insured). In addition, Student Post Offices process all incoming and outgoing mail for our student body.
