Planning A Project
Helpful Hints
- Identify your Customer Service Representative (CSR), if known, when calling to schedule a pick up or to inquire aboutthe status of your project. If unknown, give the job number or your project to the receptionist and s/he will forward your call to the correct CSR.
- Give complete pick up and delivery instructions (contact person, if different than yourself, address / building number / room number or location, etc.)
- State the date and time you need for your project to be completed and delivered.
- Provide samples, if available, of work done for previous projects, ir related to this project. Electronic versions are preferred as they provide enhanced characteristics associated with your job, especially graphics or pictures.
- Submit your work electronically via diskette, as an e-mail attachment addressed to maildoc@rci.rutgers.edu, or via our ftp-site fortworth.rutgers.edu, or as an attachment to your RIAS requistion. Contact our Digital Support Specialist at (732) 932-2143 ext 4106 should you have any questions about any of these processes or if you have submitted a job using one. The Digital Support Specialist (DSS) must establish a user name and a password for you to use the ftp site.
- As stated in the "Planning Your Project" section, clearly state the "specifics" associated with your project. Be very detailed about every aspect of your expected outcomes concerning your job, such as, desired paper stock & sizes, required turnaround time, budgeted project costs, fonts, design characteristics, required review process, etc.
- Review your "proofs" in a timely manner, submitting your revisions as quickly as possible, particularly if you're under a "tight deadline."
- To remove your name from unwanted ad mail, contact the group listed below, stating your request that their members remove your name from their mailing lists. Your request will not stop all of your advertising mail, but it will stop some. If you are receiving catalogs and other ad mail that do want, do not use this method since it removes your name from all of the mailing lists handled by the Mail Preference Center, not just one specific item.
